Closed

Last night was evile. I did not get to sleep till after 4a.m. Part of it might have been the two coffees I had in the afternoon or just the whole general life change thing, but I wasn't feeling good and my brain kept nattering on about this and that. Considering all that, I've done pretty well all day.

The closing was at 11:00. What can I say? It went well. I signed a bunch of papers. Then I came home to await word that the paperwork had gone through, and then the house would be mine. In the meantime, I loaded the car with certain items. word that the house was mine came around 3:00, and so then I went to city hall to apply for gas, water and sewer, but the piece of paper I'd been given was not adequate. I'll have to go back on Tuesday. Then I swung by the house. The plan was to introduce the dog to it, take pix for family and friends, and leave stuff there. When I pulled by, the seller was STILL loading his UHaul. So I did not stop. Our understanding was that he was going to be out by closing. I stopped down the road and contacted my realtor, and she contacted his realtor, and they had a bit of a "discussion." In any case, the seller is supposedly out now. Am I going over there now that it's night? Nope. After I talked to my realtor, I picked up wings for dinner, and once I got home (rental home), I wasn't going anywhere. So I'm just relaxing, watching Ghost Adventures. Current episode is at the Stanley Hotel. I've been to the hotel, and it was a beautiful old place, but I sure didn't feel anything ghostly. However, I wasn't the for the night or anything.

In any case, onward and upward. I have a feeling I won't be in any condition to get up way early for the balloon rally. I need to finish picking up for MelBob's visit, then will eventually have to head out to ElPaso to pick her up. Hope there are no flight difficulties.

Congratulations on "Closing" -- encircled by quotes because it seems to need them . . .

We got about 3" of snow, with bouts of actual driving rain mixed in. Icy ground this morning, but nothing on trees and wires.

Supposed to get COLD tonight and tomorrow night.
